Requirements
- Windows PC
- MAUI Meta ver. 10.1816
- MTK USB Drivers
- USB Data cable.
Procedure On How To Repair IMEI On Android MTK Smartphones With Maui Meta.
Now, we have much software that can be used to repair IMEI on Android. The challenge is that many of them are limited to certain smartphones and their Android version. Otherwise, follow the followings steps.
Step 1
Download Maui Meta tool on your computer. Maui Meta tool will work on Windows 7, 8 and 10. I have not yet tested it on windows 11 so; I will go with what I know. Now, Download Maui META tool version 10.1816 zip file from the link provided in this article. Extract it on your windows PC.
Step 2
After downloading and extracting the zip file, install the Maui Meta installer. Let installation finish, then now, Launch the application. It should now launch successfully.
Step 3
Now, click on the “Connect” button at the bottom right.
Maui Meta tool will get into standby mode waiting for you to connect your phone to the Computer.
Step 4
Now, with Meta tool in standby mode, power off your phone, connect your phone to the PC using the USB Data cable. Note that don’t hold and keys. Even though there are some phones that will require that you hold both the volume up and volume down keys to enter Meta mode. Your phone should now power up and enter Meta mode as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 5
After connection to phone is established, on the Maui Meta tool interface, click on the “Load DB” tab, then select “Load from Target”.
Then after that then select to load DB from the target phone.
Step 6
After DB is correctly and successfully loaded from the target phone, click your mouse in the “Search tools” and then select “IMEI Download”
An IMEI window will open. Type in the IMEI numbers you want to write.
Make sure that the IMEI numbers are typed in correctly. Usually, IMEI number consists of 15 digits. Click on the “Write” tab. You will see that the IMEI numbers have been successfully written. Step 7
After writing is done, down on Maui Meta tool, click on the “Disconnect” button. Your phone will go off and exit Meta mode. It will display a charging battery. Disconnect it from your computer and power it up. To verify the IMEI numbers you’ve written, dial *#06# on your phone to check them out.
