So I can’t say anything about that for now. But one thing I am sure of and have personally done is how to format Tecno 301 feature phone and unlock the security code using my method as I am going to show you in this article. Tecno 301 Feature Phone Formatting and Security Unlocking
This phone as I have mentioned earlier, is a feature phone or in simple language a button phone. I have never known any other method of formatting or unlocking feature phones using codes and therefore, I am going to stick to my method of using a PC. And for that reason, let us look in details on the simple method on how to format Tecno 301 feature phone and unlock the security code.
How to Format Tecno 301 Using a PC with GSM Aladdin Tool.
To be able to flash your Tecno 301, you will need to have the following items:
- Windows PC
- GSM Aladdin Software
- RDA Drivers Pre installed.
- USB Data cable.
Step 1
On your windows PC, Open GSM Aladdin software. You can also check my other article on how to fix and solve GSM Aladdin registry error(win error code:02) on GSM Aladdin software.
Step 2
Now on GSM Aladdin interface, click on the RDA tab. This phone is based on the RDA CPU. So we are going to use the RDA tab.
Step 3
Now, click on the “Format’ Option. Now after selecting the option, select the “Connect” tab at the top side as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 4
After clicking on the “Connect” button, the start button will now show up. Click on the “start” button. GSM Aladdin will now start and wait for you to connect your phone to the PC.
Remember with RDA phones, you need to connect your phone in download mode.

Step 5
To connect your phone in download mode, connect the phone to the PC until it shows a charging battery. Now hold the OK button or the zero (0) button until you see “Download mode” display and disappear. Your phone will now connect and GSM Aladdin will format your phone.
Wait until the process is done. Disconnect your phone from your computer, disconnect your battery, place it back and power up your phone.
