As I have mentioned earlier, the usual method of finding WIFI password on a computer is by using a command prompt. But the challenge here is that command prompt or CMD is quite complicated and requires that you have skills to use CMD. But here is the good news. If you don’t have the command prompt know-how, then here is another different method on how to find WIFI password on windows 10 computer without using Command prompt or CMD. It is much easier than using a command prompt. Method to find WIFI password connected on windows 10 computer

Before we move further on how to find WIFI password on windows 10 computer without using Command prompt or CMD, I want to make it clear that this method will only show you the password of the WIFI network your computer is connected to at the current time. With CMD, you can find passwords of all the WIFI networks that your computer ones connected to even if they are not available at that moment. With this method, you can only find the WIFI password of the network your computer is currently connected to. If it is disconnected, then it is not possible. Now, having noted that, follow the following steps to learn how to find WIFI password on windows 10 computer without using Command prompt or CMD.

Step 1

Now, in this step, first, your computer must be connected to the WIFI network which you want to get its password. After making sure your computer is connected to that WIFI network, now go to Settings and select ”Network and Internet.”

Step 2

After selecting the Network and internet option, you will be taken to the next screen. The next screen is about the status of the Network and Internet. Scroll down and you will see “Network and Sharing Centre”

Click on the “Network and Sharing Centre “option and move to step 3

Step 3

When you select the “Network and Sharing Centre” option, a separate screen will open showing the “Network and Sharing Centre” from this screen you will see the information of the network you are connected to. In this article, I have connected my smartphone hotspot to my computer as you see from the screenshots. On the left side, you will see the active network that your computer is connected to. On the right side, click on the network your computer is connected to as shown below.

Step 4

Now, after you have selected the active WIFI network that your computer is connected to, you will see a window showing the network status of the current WIFI network you are connected to. Now, click on the Wireless Properties.

Under the Wireless properties, another window will open separately. Click on the Security tab.

Under security, you will see the Network Security Key but hidden with dots… That is where your WIFI network password is hidden. To display it, just below, click on “Show characters” Your WIFI network password will be displayed.
