Today I will talk about the Most common computer Problems and their solutions. Many times we encounter problems with our computers in our daily interaction with them. Here are the most common computer problems. I have highlighted the solutions to the problems and I recommend trying them and if the problem still persists consider visiting your nearest computer shops and let them try helping you to fix the  problem.

Most common computer Problems and their solutions

1.       Slow computer
2.       Viruses infections
3.       Screen freeze
4.       Slow working internet
5.       Internet network problems
6.       Computer can’t open CD or Disk drive
7.       Dead PC
8.       Printers problem

1. Slow Computer
·
If you have a slow running computer, then the
main reason could be too little ram. A lot of you who are still running windows
xp or too old systems with 512mb ram, go ahead and increase the ram and you
will notice an increase in computer speed.
·
If you have been running the system and you have
never done a disc clean up, go ahead and do a disc cleanup on Local disc C:
·
Another reason could be too many files on the
system drive (Local Disc C:). I recommend moving the files such as photos,
music, videos and documents to another drive.
·
Last in this area here, in addition to lack of
memory space, your operating system may be failing. Take a slow computer as a
warning sign, back up your data and even start shopping around for a new computer.

2. Virus Infections
·
We all know that there are a lot of antivirus
softwares out there but we should understand that none of them is 100%
effective at preventing viruses from getting into your system. Check to ensure
that the antivirus you have performs a regular scan on your computer and all
incoming mails and websites for possible threats and delete them before a
problem to your system.
·
Another cause of virus infections could be the
thumb drives, flash drives, memory sticks/cards and other external storage
devices. Ensure whenever you plug any external storage device into your
computer, have it scanned really quick for any virus infections.

3. Screen Freeze
·
When your screen freezes, often at times it’s
not your computer, this could actually be the internet connection or the web
host itself, when it’s trying to download some big files, different things on
the pages area and just a little slow loading those pages on there. To solve this
I recommend you go ahead and refresh the page and reload it to help speed up
the system.
·
If the whole computer screen is not responding,
it could be possible that the computer software is not responding or your
keyboard is not responding, press and hold the power button for at least 5
seconds. This will shut the system up and then turn it on and see if that
helps.

4. Slow working internet
·
A lot of times you go on to the internet and
your computer will store stuff into the cookies, load stuff into history and load
stuff into its temporary files. Make sure you go and clear all that and that
helps speed it up.
·
Another thing you can do is go to your start
menu and in the search bar there, type in %temp%
and hit Enter. This will bring you up to a folder that the computer stores
all temporary internet stuff. Delete everything in that folder. If prompted to
skip files that are being used, skip those files.

5. Internet working Problem
·
This one too, most of times it’s not your
computer. It could be your ISP provider but you have to check your stuff too.
Check the cables from your computer to your router and from the router to your
modem. A lot of times these need to be rebooted to help refresh things and
bring them in order. If you still don’t having no internet connection, contact
your internet provider and let them check from their system all the way to your
modem and that will let you know if you are having a good signal or not.
·
If you have the internet connection and it’s
really slow, go on to the speakeasy speed test. Once you are on that site, run
the speed tests to determine what your upload and download speeds. Contact your
internet service provider to know what the minimum speeds are. This could help
them discover and fix a problem that they didn’t know about.
